Oral argument will be heard in the U.S. Court of Appeals in the case of Al-Zahrani v. Rumsfeld tomorrow, October 6. Al-Zahrani is a civil action filed by the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) on behalf of the families of two men who died at Guantanamo Bay in June 2006 under questionable circumstances. Specifically, four soldiers stationed at Guantanamo at the time of the deaths came forward last year with eye-witness accounts strongly suggesting a cover-up of the cause and circumstances of the deaths and that the men may have been killed at an off-site location. CCR Attorney Pardiss Kebriaei will be presenting argument on behalf of the families.
