maya finoh (they/them) is the Political Education and Research Manager for the Center for Constitutional Rights. As part of the Advocacy team's growing Political Education and Research hub, maya develops advocacy materials and offers grounded political assessments to advance the Center for Constitutional Rights’ key priorities in challenging white supremacy, economic oppression, gender oppression, and abusive state practices. In this role, maya contributes to collective political education with partners and internally. Prior to becoming the Political Education and Research Manager, maya spent three years as the organization's Advocacy Associate. Before coming to the Center for Constitutional Rights, they worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant for the ACLU Human Rights Program and conducted policy research at organizations dedicated to social justice including the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice.

maya has spent extensive time in various movement formations engaged in research, political education, writing, organizing, and cultural work rooted in Black queer & trans feminisms, fat liberation, disability justice, dismantling U.S. imperialism in the Global South, and prison-industrial complex abolition. In addition to their work at the Center for Constitutional Rights, maya facilitates open-access political education sessions.
